Field Level Supervisory Training
12
hour one-day Intensive - Boot Camp
This
‘extended’ one-day intense program contains twelve hours of interactive,
fast paced, hands-on project oriented training for anyone supervising others at
the field work level. The most crucial elements of project success from a
supervisory perspective will be presented. The program includes the following:
The
modern construction project supervisor
The role and responsibilities of the supervisor
Pre-construction
planning
Participants will identify their responsibilities from a
comprehensive preconstruction check list
CPM
and short interval scheduling
No one leaves this session without a clear understanding of
what the critical path is and how it is determined.
Project
documentation from the field
Not just what . . . but how to be the best “reporter” out
there. Tons of hands-on practice
Managing
the budget and tracking job costs
Set up a budget – track costs – assist in the progress
payment process
Leading
others on the way to success
Finding and maturing the leader within – learn simple
concepts that distinguish you from the pack
Written
and Verbal Communication skills
Taking the challenges of speaking and writing to a serious
level.
Decision
making and dispute resolution
Dealing with conflict, difficult people and project issues
– Embracing dynamic processes that will make you shine
Dynamic
Team building exercise
Teams compete and collaborate using drawings, instructions
and simple construction hand tools to construct the stage prop for the Boot
Camp’s grand finale. “The day
moves too fast to be too long” – your personnel will wonder where the time
went as the workshop moves into this final hands-on building project.
Breakfast,
lunch, breaks and dinner will be served
